Mutton Masala Ingredients:
- 1 kg mutton
- 3 large onions sliced lengthwise
- 2 large tomatoes sliced lengthwise
- 2 tsp ginger garlic paste
- 3 green chillies slit
- handful of curry leaves
- 1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
- salt as per taste
- 1 tbsp coriander powder
- 1/2 tbsp chilli powder
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp fennel powder
- 2 tsp garam masala
- 1 tbsp tomato ketchup
- 1 cup water
- oil
Method:
- In a pressure cooker pour oil just to level the base.
- Add the chopped onions and curry leaves and saute till golden brown.
- now add the tomatoes, ginger garlic paste and sauté till tomatoes and completely cooked and start to turn slightly brown.
- Add the mutton, salt and rest of the dry masala's and mix everything well.
- Cook on medium to high flame for a while till mutton starts to brown slightly.
- now add the ketchup,season well and add the water and close the cooker
- Cook on high for one whistle and cook on sim flame for 25 mins.
- Switch off the gas and allow to rest in cooker till all the steam is gone.
- Open the cooker and cook till gravy thickens.
- Serve garnished with coriander leaves and your choice of bread.
