After many trials of this recipe using various alterations,i have at last come up with this recipe which works perfect for me.
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 packet spaghetti
- 1 kg minced mutton
- 1 onion finely chopped
- 3 cloves chopped garlic
- 2 large ripe tomatoes chopped
- ½ cup tomato puree
- ¼ cup chopped parsley leaves
- 3 tbsp ketchup
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
- Salt to taste
- 2 tsp red paprika pwd
- 1 tsp pepper pwd
- ¾ cup breadcrumbs
- 2 eggs
- Oil
METHOD TO MAKE MEAT BALLS:
- Mix together meat, eggs,breadcrumbs,cheese,salt,pepper pwd and grind coarsely.
- Make small balls and deep fry in oil.
METHOD TO MAKE SAUCE:
- In a pan pour some oil and sauté the onions and garlic till light brown.
- Add the tomatoes and tomato puree and sauté till it starts to thicken and browning.
- Now add the paprika pwd, ketchup and mix well.
- Cook for 3 mins, if too thick add ½ cup water and cook for 5 mins.
- Into this add the meat balls and cook for another 5 mins.
METHOD TO MAKE SPAGHETTI:
- Follow instructions on the cover.
- Else, bring to boil half a vessel of water.
- Add salt to it and place the spaghetti into it
- Do not break the spaghetti
- Cook till done,strain and toss it up with some oil.
PLATE SETTING:
- Spread the spaghetti in a thin layer and make a gap in the centre.
- Pour the meat ball sauce in the centre and serve with some grated cheese on top.
- Or: Roll out the spaghetti into small balls and spread the sauce on top.
