SPAGHETTI AND MEATBALLS

After many trials of this recipe using various alterations,i have at last come up with this recipe which works perfect for me.
INGREDIENTS:
  • 1 packet spaghetti
  • 1 kg minced mutton
  • 1 onion finely chopped
  • 3 cloves chopped garlic
  • 2 large ripe tomatoes chopped
  • ½ cup tomato puree
  • ¼ cup chopped parsley leaves
  • 3 tbsp ketchup
  • 1/4  cup grated parmesan cheese
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tsp red paprika pwd
  • 1 tsp pepper pwd
  • ¾ cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 eggs
  • Oil

METHOD TO MAKE MEAT BALLS:


  1. Mix together meat, eggs,breadcrumbs,cheese,salt,pepper pwd and grind coarsely.
  2. Make small balls and deep fry in oil.



METHOD TO MAKE SAUCE:


  1. In a pan pour some oil and sauté the onions and garlic till light brown.
  2. Add the tomatoes and tomato puree and sauté till it starts to thicken and browning.
  3. Now add the paprika pwd, ketchup and mix well.
  4. Cook for 3 mins, if too thick add ½ cup water and cook for 5 mins.
  5. Into this add the meat balls and cook for another 5 mins.

METHOD TO MAKE SPAGHETTI:
  1. Follow instructions on the cover.
  2. Else, bring to boil half a vessel of water.
  3. Add salt to it and place the spaghetti into it
  4. Do not break the spaghetti
  5. Cook till done,strain and toss it up with some oil.

PLATE SETTING:


  1. Spread the spaghetti in a thin layer and make a gap in the centre.
  2. Pour the meat ball sauce in the centre and serve with some grated cheese on top.
  3. Or: Roll out the spaghetti into small balls and spread the sauce on top.
