An evening snack or a cocktail snack, it goes well for all occasions. You can also make the potato masala and store in the freezer. as the desire for quick snacks erupt just grab these lovely potato balls dip them in the batter and fry.The best snack I have come across to keep my children happy and filled throughout the party.
INGREDIENTS:
- 4 potatoes boiled and peeled
- 1 garlic peeled and sliced finely
- 3 tsp chilli flakes
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp parsley fresh/ dried
- 1 onion sliced finely
- Oil for deep frying
- 3 tbsp cornflour
- 1 glass soda( carbonated water)
METHOD:
- Mash the potatoes with hand.
- In a pan pour 1 tsp oil and sauté the garlic and onion till transparent and liht brown.
- Grind coarsely in a blender.
- Mix this paste to the potato.
- Add salt as per taste , parsley and chilli flakes.
- Make small balls out of the mashed potato masala.
- Flatten the two ends.
- Dilute cornflour with the soda water,pouring little by little till it becomes a smooth batter.add a pinch of salt to this batter and 1 tsp chilli flakes to this batter.
- Dip the potatoes in this batter and deep fry in hot oil till crisp and golden brown.
